Open-plan offices, noise and light
Most of it is changeable and almost nobody asks. Where your desk is, what you can wear on your ears, and where you can go to work quietly are the three biggest levers, and all three are ordinary requests in most offices.
Where your desk is
Away from the walkway, the kitchen, the printer and the busiest team. Backing onto a wall rather than an open room.
Desk moves are usually the easiest thing to get agreed and the most underused. Ask the person who owns the floor plan, not HR.

Noise
Noise-canceling headphones are normal office equipment now. Filtered earplugs are a quieter option if headphones read as unavailable in your team.
If headphones are discouraged, that is worth asking about directly — many such rules turn out to be assumed rather than actual.

Light
Overhead fluorescent is the common complaint and it is often adjustable — a desk lamp with the overhead off above your area, or a seat away from the brightest zone.
Screen brightness and a warmer color temperature are free and help more than people expect.

Somewhere to go
One bookable room, or a known quiet corner, for anything needing sustained attention. Knowing it exists changes the day even on days you do not use it.

Ask for one thing at a time
Each of these on its own is a small, reasonable request. All of them at once reads as a list of problems, which is a harder conversation for no extra benefit.
