Ask for one specific thing with the benefit attached. "Documents the day before — I will come to the meeting with the answer rather than reading in it" gets agreed far more often than a general request, because it tells your manager what to do and what they get.

Documents and agendas in advance, not being asked to read aloud without warning, extra time on written tasks, text-to-speech and dictation software, and a screen and font you can change.
Instructions in writing rather than verbally, or verbally rather than in writing — people differ, and yours is the one that counts.

Ask what would make it workable, and propose a trial rather than a permanent change. A month-long experiment gets agreed when a policy change does not.
If it stays no on something that genuinely matters, that tells you about the job rather than about you.
